Background: Partnership with aviation consulting firm OCTANT Aviation, Akila offers airports of all sizes a software solution that will assist them in the continuous improvement and promotion of their safety management system (SMS) in order to comply with Transport Canada regulations.

The main challenge is to identify the essential functionalities required for managing a SMS for the first version, and to evolve the product according to the customer feedback.

The Solution
Create a cloud platform that will be shared by all customers. However, each client’s data will be housed in a secure, independent silo.
Three editions of the application have been created to best suit the needs of users: Akila Go (for registered aerodromes), Akila Pro (for certified airports) and Akila Air (for air carriers).
